This page covers vicaristudio.com: the pages you are reading now. The client portal at clients.vicaristudio.com is a separate, signed-in service, and what the studio does with a client's information there is set by the agreement that client signs.
The short version
This site has no accounts, no forms, no comment threads, no advertising and no analytics. It does not track you, it does not profile you, and it sets no cookies. One setting is kept in your own browser: which theme you chose.
What is stored on your device
- Your theme choice. Choosing light or dark writes
themeto your browser's local storage so the site does not flash the wrong theme next time. It stays on your device, it is never sent to us, and it is not a cookie. Setting the control back to "System" removes it, and clearing site data removes it too.
Nothing else is written to your device by this site.
What our host sees
The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes the technical details of each request, such as your IP address, the page requested, the time, and your browser's user-agent string, to deliver the page and to protect the site from abuse. That processing is Cloudflare's, underCloudflare's privacy policy. The studio does not receive a copy of those logs, and no analytics product is installed on this site.
If you write to us
Email sent to company@vicaristudio.com reaches a mailbox the studio controls, and is kept for as long as it is useful to answer you and to keep a record of the work it relates to. It is not added to a mailing list, and it is not sold or shared for anyone else's marketing. There is no marketing list to unsubscribe from.
Links out
This site links to other places, including the client portal, jeryn.me, GitHub, and the studio's own products. Once you follow a link, that site's own privacy practices apply.
Children
This site is for people looking to hire a software studio. It is not directed at children.
Your rights, and how to use them
Because this site collects nothing that identifies you, there is usually nothing for us to look up, correct or delete. If you have written to the studio, or if you are a client, you can ask what the studio holds about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask for it to be deleted where the studio does not need to keep it (for example, where tax or contract records require it). Write to company@vicaristudio.com and we will answer. If you are somewhere with statutory data rights, such as the EU, the UK or California, say so in your message and we will handle it under those rules.
Changes
If what the site does changes, this page changes with it, and the date at the top moves. There is no separate archive of earlier versions.
